The Crew

Gabriel Malasig is a Filipino-American writer and an active-duty Air Force Officer. He received an MFA in Screenwriting, graduating Summa Cum Laude in 2020. Since then, he placed Top 5 in the Roadmap Jumpstart Competition, was a Finalist in the Roadmap x Husslup Pitching Competition, and was awarded Best Feature and Grand Prize Overall at Slamdance 2022. He is now repped by Gramercy Park Entertainment. Gabriel writes stories that question and undermine the American façade, exploring the experiences of the disenfranchised and the traumatized.

Kaylor Myers is a TV commercial production coordinator by day and a director, creative developer, script doctor, writer by night. With a commitment to truth in storytelling, she possesses a deep passion for honest character building and a keen eye for developing the dominos that take stories from one place to the next. She's thrilled to be working with Pranksters Ink as a Key Story Developer.

Megan Mead is a queer director and writer who grew up in both rural Georgia and Northern-California; they came out as queer while studying at bible college in Los Angeles; all that to say, Megan has a particular fondness for weirdos and outsiders. Their queer coming-of-age feature Magpie won best screenplay at Out on Film’s 2022 Competition and their directed shorts—Every Corner and Gone Postal—have been selected for over a dozen film festivals. Megan’s stories embrace duplexity, combining both ardent whimsey and gutting, heartfelt emotion. They believe that, just as in life, humor and sorrow play equal roles and that no dramatic moment is safe from a punchline.

Rachel Malasig has worked in the production department on studio and independent feature films with budgets ranging from $100,000 to 100 Million. Based out of Los Angeles, Rachel travels all over to work and live life with her husband and cat. She is always down to discuss philosophies about human nature or how fuzzy and adorable her cat is. She's happy either way.
